The network has 100% of my endorsement because of the data. Data should drive the services needed to be provided to our veterans and their families, and initiatives like RIServes provides us with that vehicle to deliver those services.

The newly created partnership between Kids’ Link and Unite Us will streamline the coordinated care network of health and social service providers in our state. Kids’ Link RI has historically worked collaboratively with Gateway Healthcare, Lifespan, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and Bradley Hospital, and we are very pleased to partner with Unite Us, allowing us to continue to provide efficient and compassionate care to the young people in our region.

The COVID-19 crisis has exposed a stark reality we have all recognized for years–social inequity leads directly to health inequity. When people do not have adequate housing, food, utilities, transportation, and more, they are more likely to experience serious health consequences. Unite Rhode Island and our partnership with Unite Us enables us to transform what health means for individuals and families. Together, we can provide truly comprehensive care so our patients and clients can enjoy healthier lives.

The ongoing public health crisis has brought to the forefront just how much social inequity negatively impacts the health of our most vulnerable neighbors. Addressing these inequities needs to be a priority for all of us, and I am proud United Way is playing a leadership role to improve the lives of those who need us most.

Rhode Island is committed to providing the critical infrastructure to address Medicaid members’ social needs to improve overall health and wellbeing, which we know has the potential to reduce overall healthcare spending. Bringing a unified Community Referral Platform to our accountable entities, community partners and managed care organizations, is a key part of our SDoH strategy.

As part of the Central Providence Health Equity Zone Initiative, ONE Neighborhood Builders runs a cohort of 12 Community Health Workers. Having our CHWs use the Unite Us platform has allowed us to keep track of their efforts in nearly real time, identify areas that need extra support, and quantify all of their important work for our funders and partners. This platform affords us the evidence to back-up what we already know – that Community Health Workers are invaluable for improving the health of their neighborhoods.

Genesis Center provides the highest quality education, job training, and support services to people of diverse cultures so they may achieve economic independence and participate fully in society.

Unite Us has allowed us to further our mission by connecting us to members of the Latinx and Hispanic communities who can utilize our childcare, education, job training and support services to improve their employment skills, pay scales, and prospects for promotion.
