United Way of the Midlands and the Nebraska 211 Contact Center is delighted to partner with Unite Nebraska, serving as the coordination center and resource directory. We’re proud to stand by our commitment to respond in a timely manner to support clients. In addition to referral management, our goal is to drive network growth and improvement while identifying within our community the demands for services, gaps in capacity or funding needs by the network partners.

Before, we would give out paper referrals and had no follow up tracking. Having this platform enables us to follow up with an agency if the client was not served and we can track how quickly the client was served, and if they did receive assistance. In this day and age with the pandemic, this platform provides more resources for clients and your organization.

Food Bank for the Heartland helps so many Nebraskans apply for SNAP benefits. Most often, they often also ask for assistance with utility, rent, food pantries, anything that will help them get by. This new referral system is another way clients can make contact with an agency without having to do all the legwork themselves or retelling their story over and over again. Our neighbors are exhausted and having this referral system is one way they can get a little relief.

As a rural critical access hospital, we are often the community’s resource hub. Now that we have joined Unite Nebraska, we have access to a wonderful platform which assists us with locating a variety of resources for our patients. This platform also enables us a secure way to better exchange information with our local resources while working together to coordinate services for our patients.
